Rogue Talent Build – Building A Deadly Assassination Rogue for Fast Leveling

Note: I used to recommend orc combat rogue that armed with axe and utilizing dual wield specialization, axe specialization, hack & slash, and lightning reflexes to dish huge DPS, but with the development of WoW, I think an assassination rogue will do better job at fast leveling.

As a rogue, you can dish sweet DPS, but your leather armor won’t be able to give you much protection, thus you’ll need high Agility to gain enough Dodge chance. With that and great Rogue talent build, it will be easier for you to survive while leveling. Also, you should be familiar with your stunning attacks and learn to use them regularly to reduce the damage that you received. First Aid is a must in order to minimize your downtime.

The Rogue has 3 awesome talent trees and all of them have their benefits and drawbacks. If you wish to create a great Rogue talent build, check the build below. It takes a little bit of all 3 talent trees and you’ll have plenty of effective skills and boosts to level up like crazy.

You need to start by placing some talents in the Combat tree. Begin with Dual Wield Specialization and then select Precision to make sure you hit a lot with both weapons. Now take Deflection since you will come across plenty of melee mobs and that makes 6% parry chance really great to have. Skip Riposte but do get Endurance so the cooldown of Evasion and Sprint are a lot shorter. Both of these skills are excellent for leveling. Now increase your Spring and Dodge chance, then take Blade Flurry. It is a fantastic skill to have when you’re fighting two mobs simultaneously. It also boosts your damage by 20% for 15 seconds, so even if you are battling only 1 mob it still has its benefit.

When you’re done, pour 5 points in Malice at the Assassination tree. Take Ruthlessness and Puncturing Wounds. Do get Vigor immediately since it is really nice to have 110 Energy. Take Lethality to enhance the damage from your critical strikes and then aim for Vile Poisons and Improved Poisons. Grab Cold Blood which is a killer and Fleet Footed to boost your movement speed which is always pleasant for leveling. Get Quick Recovery and then get Seal Fate to apply combo points faster which is a nice combo with Cold Blood.

Get Overkill so you’re able to make more damage when you come out of stealth and then take Deadly Brew so runners will not be much of a menace as they get their movement speed reduced by 70%.

Get Deadened Nerved to lessen damage you received you and take Find Weaknesses to raise all damage done by 6%. Finally, you must get Mutilate in this tree which is an awesome attack. Together with Blade Flurry, it will be the main attack skills in this rogue talent build.

Get Relentless Strikes and Opportunity from the Subtlety tree and you have an incredible Rogue talent build.
